What RTO Means — Return to Origin Simple Guide
What RTO (return to origin) means, why a parcel goes back to the seller, and how to read reverse scans on the AWB timeline.

RTO = Return to Origin. The courier is sending the parcel back toward the seller / warehouse instead of delivering it to your address.
Common reasons
- Wrong / incomplete address
- Phone unreachable
- OTP fail / refused delivery
- Multiple failed attempts
What you should do
- Track the AWB and confirm reverse movement has started
- Send marketplace support your order ID + AWB
- Ask whether a re-ship is possible or if a refund applies
If a new shipment is created, use the new AWB — the old forward AWB will show the reverse journey.
